The Lordship of Jesus Christ
As Christians we believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son, the second person of the Trinity (1). He
was with God in eternity and was God (2). Jesus Christ came to earth, in human form, to redeem a
lost and sinful mankind (3). By doing this, He revealed a Holy God to sinful men (4).
As Christians, we believe Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (5).
He was God, and He was man (6).
As God, Jesus Christ satisfied the holiness and righteousness of God. The sacrifice He made was
complete. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon the cross is the only hope of mankind for salvation (7).
Jesus Christ is the Sovereign Lord of all (8). Every believer is called by Jesus to follow and obey
Him (9).
