The Christian Outdoorsman is one of the intentional ministries of
Chocolate Bayou Baptist Church of Alvin, Texas. The goal of The
Christian Outdoorsman is to offer opportunities events for hunters,
anglers, and outdoorsman of all types, in order to bring a bond
between men and their children through the gateway of God’s great
Creation.
Our desire is to encourage men to "live a legacy worth leaving
behind." We believe this can only be accomplished through
continual fellowship, mentorship, and discipleship based on the
God's Word, the Bible. We want to change our community through
the men of the family.
In order to do this we do not want to serve up "cheesy" alternatives.
We want to use the things that interest men...the great outdoors...to
make a difference.
We won't pretend to have it all figured out, but our intention is to
lead each man to the One who does, Jesus Christ.
