Welcome
The People's Fellowship is a new intentional community of faith that is looking to begin
in January 2008. It is the built out of the heart and passion of another local church,
Chocolate Bayou Baptist Church to reach out to all in Alvin, Texas and its surrounding
community. This effort is to focus on those that did not have a place of authentic
community, worship, and fellowship built on the teachings of and faith in Jesus Christ.
A Place for New Beginnings
The People's Fellowship is about second chances and new beginnings. It is an
opportunity for people to "try on " church again after a couple of years of being away.
We believe that no matter what you have done or where you have been, God's grace is
available. Through His grace, healing can be found, addictions can be faced,
forgiveness can be experienced, marriages can be restored, and lives can be changed.
It Is Okay to Not Be Okay
The People's Fellowship is also a place where it okay to not be okay. We believe you
don't have to fake perfection. You don't have to pretend you have it together if you
don't. Just come as you are with your past, pain, challenges, and junk. God promises
to meet you where you are, but He won't leave you there. He begins a work of
transformation in your life.
We are about acceptance, compassion, and relevance to everyday life. We have no
hidden agenda. We simply explore real life issues from a Biblical perspective.
Come find out what The People's Fellowship is about. It might shock you, but church
can be enjoyable, thought provoking, and life-changing.
I invite you to learn more about The People's Fellowship and our beliefs, values, and
future by reading on. You'll discover who we are and why we believe people will call
The People's Fellowship a place of new beginnings in Alvin and its surrounding
communities.
Contact us at Chocolate Bayou Baptist Church for more information, and how you
might be a part of this new beginning in Alvin, Texas. I look forward to growing with
you in this place of new beginnings.
