What do I wear?
There are no "right" or "wrong" clothes to wear at Chocolate Bayou Baptist Church. On Sunday mornings,
you will see everything from jeans to "Sunday best". Sunday nights are casual, as are Wednesdays. We
care more about you being here than we do about what you wear!

Where do I park?
For new visitors, we reserve parking spaces near the front entrance of the Worship Center. Just look for
the
WHITE signs marked "Guest". Those spots are reserved for you…and if theyare filled, find the
closest site and rest assured in the knowledge that then you are NOT the only visitors!

What about my children?
Chocolate Bayou Baptist Church has an excellent children's and preschool ministry. Sunday school for all
children Ages 2 through High School is offered at
9:15am at the same time as Adult Bible Study classes, with a Children's Church beginning after the song
service during the Morning Worship Celebration at 10:30, so that you may enjoy your own Bible study
and the Worship service. Nursery is provided for children Birth to 24 monthsduring Bible Study and then
Birth to 3 years for all worship services.

What do I do when I get there?
The first thing you'll need to think about is whether you want to attend Bible study, Worship Service, or
both. All Bible study classes are offered at 9:45am and the Morning Worship Celebration begins at
11:00am. Ushers and other members are waiting to greet you are located in the foyer of the Worship
Center who can help you decide which class to attend or find a seat.

What are services like?
At CBBC, it's a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere, with comfortable chairs rather than pews. We use
hymnals and song sheets and sometimes project songs on a large screen. Our pastor preaches relevant
messages to help you see how to live an authentic Christian life.

Usually, the first thing we do in our Morning Worship Celebration is a welcome and a time of informal
greeting of those around us. This is followed by a time of singing songs, Scripture Reading, and other
expressions of worship. If you like, you can fill out the Visitor's information on the tear-off flap of your
worship program, and place it in the offering plate at the end of the singing of songs. Don't worry about
someone showing up at your doorstep, unannounced and uninvited - we don't do that. We would like to
know a little more about you and answer questions you might have.

After the welcome, then Russell Traweek, our pastor, will speak. Following the message, there is a time of
response where you can come and pray with the Pastor, or make any other decisions related to joining
CBBC or entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. After the service, you are invited to stop
by the Welcome Center on your way out and greet our pastor and some of our church members. If this is
your first visit, we want to give you a special gift, no strings attached. Our services usually last about an
hour.
